 Natural Gas
Short descriptionIncludes historic, chemical, physical descriptions as well as some basic information about how it is located and extracted from the earth.
List of UsesThere are so many different applications for natural Gas that it is hard to provide a complete list of everything we do with it, with more uses being discovered every day.
Natural gas is used in residential, commercial and industrial applications. It is the dominant energy used for home heating with about 55 percent of American homes using gas. About 48 percent of natural gas delivered to U.S. consumers is used in the industrial sector. Generating electricity consumes about 15 percent. Another 15 percent is used in the commercial market and about 22 percent is used in the residential market
Mining InformationCovering the complex process, starting with exploration, then extraction, production, transport, storage, and finally distribution. The Marketing section discusses the role that natural gas marketers play in getting the gas from the wellhead to the end user.

History of natural gas drilling in Saskatchewan, information about drilling, uses, economic impact on the province and future forecasts for markets in Canada and the United States.
Refining InformationVaporSep is an innovative and patented membrane-based process for separating and recovering hydrocarbons from light gases such as nitrogen, hydrogen, or methane. The enabling technology is a "reverse selective" membrane that preferentially permeates the larger hydrocarbon vapors compared to the smaller light gases. VaporSep is used to recover valuable hydrocarbons and to purify the light gas for reuse within the process.
Description of natural gas processing using non-cryogenic absorption methods. The basic processing scheme is designed for recovering from natural gas stream up to 96% ethane and 99% propane. In addition, the AET Process NGL recovery configuration offers on-line flexibility of maintaining propane recovery at 98+% level without exceeding 2% ethane recovery.
