Large Size Tunnels Built with the drill and blast method are blasted for road and railroad construction, hydroelectric power stations, etc. The current largest area to drill full face is 168 m, but normally no tunnel of that size is blasted full face due to other factors. A practical large size tunnel area is around 100 m.
